We have a small office for hire in our premises in Beaconsfield Street, Blyth
The hire of the room includes heating, lighting and electricity. Tenants would also have full use of our kitchen facilities, disabled access toilets and communal areas.

New Hartley Memorial Hall - Carpet Bowls
If you are interested in carpet bowls pop along to the New Hartley Memorial Hall. Every Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm - 3:00pm

Bike maintenance training - Saturday 18th March, 9am until 1pm, at the workshop in Ashington, Learn how to look after and maintain your bike, covers punctures, lubrication, brakes and gears. Only £25 including refreshments. Booking essential, couple of places left.
Sunday 19th March, 9am from Blyth, steady Sunday circular over 30 miles taking in Stannington, Morpeth for a cuppa, Pegswood and Ashington.

New Hartley Memorial Hall
The Queen has sent a letter out of respect for the 204 killed in the Hartley Pit disaster.
As part of our commemorations, we are putting on a performance of Mr Corvan's Music Hall at New Hartley Memorial Hall on Monday, May 29 at 7.30pm. This will be a top-notch professional show that is also visiting Whitley Bay Playhouse, Durham Gala theatre, Berwick Maltings, The Sage and other top regional venues on the tour.
We are offering 100 complimentary tickets to ex-miners and their wives. If you know of any ex-miners and ex-miners wives please let them know. The only thing they will be expected to pay for is £3 for a tour programme.
These tickets are not transferable and strictly limited to 100; they will be issued on a first-come basis. Please tell anyone interested to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone me on 0191 4247788. The people wanting tickets will also be required to leave the name of the pit they worked at and dates.
The remaining 60 or so tickets are now available to the general public via (0191) 4247788 and cost £15.

Carers Northumberland are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team supporting carers across Northumberland. Some knowledge and understanding of carer issues is preferable for the post, which may involve occasional out of hours work and travel countywide.
(Ref: CNJ18) Key Support Worker (30hpw £20,833 actual salary)
To deliver holistic, needs-led, key support to unpaid carers across Northumberland. The post will involve working in a person-centred way to support family and friend carers to maintain balance in their own life. The post will be based in Ashington.
Applicants should have a good standard of education, have experience of supporting people through assessment and action planning, be comfortable using IT, organised, able to work on their own initiative and have excellent communication and listening skills.

Summer Play Schemes
The Fund has allocated a small budget to help community groups run summer play schemes for disadvantaged communities. Some priority will be given to projects which show they are inclusive of children from refugee families, and show BME involvement.
Applications are accepted from voluntary agencies with an income of less than £150,000. Deadline: 24th May 2017

Grants are available to help social welfare and charitable organisations working to improve the lives of people in the North East of England. Grants are normally between £500 and £2,000.
Applications are considered for running costs, project costs, part salaries and basic equipment under the following headings:

Our Small Grants Scheme is designed to support smaller charities registered and operating in the United Kingdom, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities. Please note we are not able to support individuals.

Larger or national charities will normally not be considered under this scheme. CVA Blyth Valley has a downstairs small meeting / training room for hire. The room is fully accessible, holds 8 people comfortably around a boardroom style table, and includes the use of a whiteboard, projector, screen, OHP and Wi-Fi availability.
Cost is £5 per hour / £15 per half day / £25 full day (refreshments will be extra)
