GFS Blyth is a fun weekly group for girls, run by amazing women volunteers, who create a space where the girls know they can be themselves.

Age: Open to all girls in Yrs 4-8

Time: Every Wednesday during term time, 6-7.30pm

The U3A (University of the Third Age), is an organisation that brings together retired and semi-retired men and women who want to learn from one another and share experiences, knowledge, philosophies, values and ideas in a friendly and informal setting.

For an opportunity to find out more and meet with our members come along to one of the friendly monthly meetings which are held on the 4th Friday of the month at 1pm to 3pm in the Blyth Town Football club main room, South Newsham Pavilion, South Newsham, Blyth, NE24 3PS

Silx Youth Project has been in Blyth for 26 years and offers free activities and support for young people aged 11-25 across three main projects: Teen Bar, Employability Project and The Detached Street Engagement Project.

Silx Teen Bar is a multi award winning project and for four nights a week offers young people aged 11-19 a range of free recreational, educational and fun activities. We provide a safe, welcoming and friendly environment where young people can meet their friends and enjoy the activities on offer, staffed by a team of qualified youth workers. We are open Monday-Thursday from 5pm-8pm and the young people are able to take part in a whole host of fun and issued based activities including pool, arts and crafts, healthy cooking, team games, PS5, Jewellery making, nail art, make up sessions, workshops centred around relationships, drugs, alcohol and lots more. The youth workers are available to give advice, support and guidance around any personal issues that may arise.
